TPA is an independent self-regulatory organization and external dispute resolution service focused on establishing standards in the proprietary trading industry.

Businesses operating in the proprietary trading industry, including prop firms, brokerages, and technology providers, can apply for membership.

Members receive a certification badge, directory listing, access to dispute resolution services, and other benefits updated periodically.

Applicants must operate in the industry for at least two years or provide professional references. They must pass a reputational review, submit due diligence documents, and execute the Membership Agreement.

Yes, membership dues must be paid promptly. Late payments incur daily penalties, and repeated non-payment can lead to disciplinary actions.

No, TPA memberships are non-transferable.

Firms must adhere to TPA’s Code of Conduct, maintain internal dispute resolution (IDR) processes, comply with data protection laws, and display the TPA certification badge on their website, among other requirements.

Disputes are investigated by the Dispute Resolution Team, which issues determinations, mediates settlements, and enforces compliance with decisions.

Disputes can be filed by individual traders (Trader Disputes) or Member Firms (B2B Disputes).

TPA handles disputes related to payouts, service refusals, account breaches, payment issues, and unethical practices.

Claimants must file through TPA’s user portal, provide details about the dispute, and submit supporting documentation.

Determinations are legally non-binding but must be honored by Member Firms and traders to maintain membership and user status.
