John Beckert is a seasoned executive with over four decades of experience in global financial services, e-trading, and technology-driven risk management solutions. Currently, he serves as the CEO of Applied Financial Solutions, LLC (AFS), a leading consultancy based in New York’s Chrysler Building. Under John’s leadership since 2015, AFS has pioneered innovative solutions tailored to the unique profiles and needs of financial services clients worldwide. AFS’s multi-asset-class services include partnerships with top-tier suppliers to provide customized, end-to-end e-service platforms, maximizing both operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Before AFS, John held notable positions including MD of Trading & Risk Management at First Derivatives, where he led technology advancements in trading platforms globally. At Cognotec, as Global Head of Trading Solutions, John directed the design and implementation of trading systems for over 100 banks worldwide. His role as a co-founder and Global Head of Sales & Marketing at EBS remains a landmark in institutional trading, as EBS facilitated billions in daily FX trading volume and achieved significant influence within the market.

John’s expertise in financial services began at AT&T Global Services, where he led initiatives in vertical financial applications, including co-founding GTSCO, the first electronic FX trading platform. John holds an MBA in Marketing and a BS in Finance from Seton Hall University.
