Veteran attorney, fintech executive, and prop industry innovator joins the Council to advance transparency and sustainable infrastructure across the trading ecosystem.
The Prop Association (TPA) is proud to announce Justin D. Hertzberg, Esq., Chief Executive Officer of FPFX Tech and co-founder of PropAccount, as the second executive appointee to the TPA Members Council—a consultative body composed of key leaders from TPA-certified Member Firms.
The Council was created to incorporate operational insights from within the prop trading industry, offering experience-based feedback to help shape the development of TPA’s services, tools, and member experience, while preserving TPA’s independent governance structure.
A Career Rooted in Ethics, Structure, and Operational Scale
Justin brings a rare combination of legal training, institutional experience, and technical innovation to his role on the Council. A former securities and litigation attorney, Justin pivoted into the financial services industry in the early 2000s, eventually founding Forest Park FX, a CFTC-registered introducing broker that quickly gained a reputation for transparency and trader-focused execution.
As CEO of FPFX Tech, he now leads the most widely used infrastructure provider in the prop trading space, having powered the launch of over 150 prop firms, supported more than 2 million traders, and facilitated $1 billion+ in challenge sales across FX/CFDs, crypto, and on-exchange futures.
His latest platform, PropAccount, offers a white-labeled capital access solution that enables brokers and fintechs to offer prop-style trading opportunities using FPFX Tech’s infrastructure. His products and platforms reflect a broader mission: to bring clarity, credibility, and long-term sustainability to the rapidly growing but often fragmented prop trading industry.
A Voice for Proactive Industry Reform
Justin has been a vocal advocate for increased structure, accountability, and trader protections in the prop trading space. Reflecting on his decision to join the Council and have FPFX Tech become a Founding Member Firm, he explained:
“We’ve always believed in building with integrity. Regulation exists to protect the end customer, and we see value in supporting an independent body like TPA that’s helping create standards the industry urgently needs.”
He continued, emphasizing the need for proactive reform:
“Far too many firms are entering this space with no infrastructure, no long-term plan, and no regard for trader fairness. TPA gives the industry a framework for self-regulation—something we strongly support and want to help shape.”
His perspective underscores the importance of aligning operational scale with ethical execution—principles that echo throughout TPA’s mission.
What Justin Will Contribute to the TPA Members Council
As part of the Council, Justin will:
✔️ Offer feedback on platform development, risk controls, and evaluation logic
✔️ Share insights into scaling infrastructure and sustainable payout models
✔️ Provide input on KYC standards, affiliate structures, and challenge frameworks
✔️ Collaborate with other Founding Members on best practices to protect both firms and traders
While governance decisions remain the responsibility of TPA’s independent leadership, the Members Council plays a vital role in helping TPA evolve its services with direct operational insight from active market participants.
Looking Ahead
The Prop Association is honored to welcome Justin D. Hertzberg, Esq. to the TPA Members Council. His leadership, legal expertise, and operational depth bring a critical perspective to TPA’s service evolution and industry-facing tools.
As the prop trading ecosystem continues to grow and professionalize, voices like Justin’s will help ensure that the foundations of the industry remain rooted in fairness, infrastructure, and long-term accountability.
