Introducing the First Executive Member of the TPA Members Council: Marcus Fetherston of Blueberry Funded

The Prop Association (TPA) is proud to introduce Marcus Fetherston, General Manager of Blueberry Funded, as the first executive appointee to the TPA Members Council — a consultative platform composed of senior leaders from TPA Member Firms, providing operational insights to support service development.

Marcus Fetherston has built a career at the intersection of brokerage risk, trading technology, and operations. With nearly a decade of experience across the regulated retail brokerage and proprietary trading sectors, he has played a key role in designing and scaling trading businesses with a focus on liquidity management, risk infrastructure, and trader experience. As an early adopter in the prop trading space, Marcus has helped shape the evolution of modern prop firms, advocating for sustainable, trader-first models backed by strong operational foundations.

A Voice for Integrity and Innovation in Prop Trading

Today, Marcus leads Blueberry Funded — TPA’s inaugural Founding Member Firm — where he has rapidly emerged as a vocal advocate for transparency and professionalism in the prop trading space. In just under a year, Blueberry Funded has become one of the most respected broker-backed prop firms globally. Under Marcus’s leadership, it was user-voted into the Top 10 on Prop Firm Match, earned the distinction of Best Broker-Backed Prop Firm from The Trusted Prop, and continues to grow its reputation among traders and industry peers.

We seriously underestimated the demand traders have for a sustainable, broker-backed prop firm,” Marcus noted in a recent post. “But the response blew us away.

His industry perspective is clear-eyed and principled. He has consistently spoken out about the challenges in the space — from unsustainable business models to erosion of trader trust — and continues to champion a vision of the industry rooted in credibility, structure, and fairness.

Why TPA? A Strategic Commitment to Raising Industry Standards

Reflecting on Blueberry Funded’s decision to become a TPA Founding Member Firm, Marcus shared:

“We’ve chosen to join the Prop Association because we believe the industry is at a critical inflection point. With increasing uncertainty around future regulation and diminishing trust among traders due to bad actors, it’s essential to proactively support a unified body that can represent firms and provide clarity, structure, and accountability. The association’s role as an external dispute resolution provider gives traders a fair and transparent avenue to have their concerns heard — something that’s been sorely lacking. We see this as a vital step in raising standards and ensuring the long-term stability and legitimacy of the prop trading space, which aligns with Blueberry Funded’s commitment to sustainability.”

This forward-thinking perspective is exactly what the TPA Members Council was created to represent.

A Founding Voice on the TPA Members Council

As a founding executive member of the TPA Members Council, Marcus will:

  • Offer operational feedback on TPA’s services, including certification programs, transparency tools, and dispute resolution resources
  • Share perspectives on prop firm best practices, particularly those supporting long-term industry sustainability and trader protection
  • Provide consultative insights to help TPA align its service development with real-world operational experience, while formal standards and governance remain the responsibility of TPA’s independent leadership

The TPA Members Council provides a platform for experienced industry operators to share insights that help inform the evolution of our services.

We are honored to welcome Marcus Fetherston as the Council’s first executive participant—and we look forward to the perspective, expertise, and dedication he brings to supporting TPA’s mission of fairness, transparency, and continuous improvement.
