This initiative marks an important step forward in ensuring that the experience of active industry participants helps inform the development of TPA’s services and tools, while maintaining our commitment to independent governance and impartial oversight.
What Is the TPA Members Council?
The TPA Members Council is a consultative group comprised of executives from TPA-certified Member Firms.
Unlike the External Advisory Board, which consists of independent, impartial advisors outside the membership, the Members Council provides operational perspectives drawn from real-world experience within the prop trading ecosystem.
Its creation reflects TPA’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and continuous service improvement, while preserving our independent policy-making and governance structures.
Purpose and Functions of the Council
The TPA Members Council exists to serve three core functions:
- Operational Feedback from Member Firms
Council participants share practical insights on how TPA’s services—such as certification, dispute resolution, and platform tools—can continue to evolve to better serve the prop trading community. - Consultation on Service and System Development
Members provide input on user experience enhancements, operational initiatives, and improvements to the TPA platform, including the Dispute Resolution System. - Feedback on Proposed Initiatives
Council participants are invited to offer feedback on proposed operational best practices, member-facing resources, and procedural updates.
Why Now?
As TPA enters its next phase of growth, it is critical to balance community-driven operational feedback with uncompromising governance neutrality.
The TPA Members Council formalizes a channel for industry operators to share their expertise in a structured, non-binding way—supporting continuous improvement without compromising the impartiality that underpins TPA’s role in the industry.
This dual-track structure—Member insight through the Council, paired with independent oversight via the External Advisory Board—ensures that TPA remains agile, fair, and transparent in all phases of its development.
Looking Ahead
Founding participants in the TPA Members Council include respected executives from leading Member Firms. Their experience will help inform the ongoing evolution of the resources, tools, and standards that support a stronger, more transparent prop trading ecosystem.
As TPA continues to grow, the Members Council will expand to reflect the diverse and evolving needs of our broader community—while preserving the integrity and independence that define our leadership.
