Jake is a founding partner and managing director of X Cap Holdings Ltd, a privately held quantitative investment firm specializing in new product design, trader recruitment, and research and development (R&D).
With a background in geomatics engineering, Jake began his career working with several large global engineering firms in a technical role before transitioning into the Fintech space. Over the past 16 years, he has applied his technical expertise to both trading and the use of smart technologies across various financial markets.
Jake has also gained extensive experience in the liquidity, brokerage, and clearing sectors, playing a pivotal role in bringing substantial volumes of quality liquidity to both public retail and private venues via advanced electronic trading infrastructures.
I addition to this, Jake works closely with proprietary trading firms across multiple sectors and asset classes, leveraging his knowledge to drive innovation in the industry.
As an active trader, Jake also holds a CTA (Commodity Trading Advisor) designation including the Series 3 (Commodities Futures and Options) and Series 34 (Retail Off-Exchange Forex) with the National Futures Association (NFA) in the USA.
Jake currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Twin Sails Capital Fund, and oversees all aspects of trading, execution, recruitment, R&D, and strategy design and deployment. This role involves the continuous study of capital markets and the ongoing refinement of the firm’s investment processes to ensure optimal performance.
